🔥 So Many Ways to Cook at Hidden Valley Yurts

Here in the valley, mealtimes are part of the adventure.
You have to options of one of our three fully equipped kitchens, fire up the BBQs, create something delicious in the outdoor pizza oven, or — for the true outdoor chefs — try campfire cooking with our Dutch oven.

However you cook, it always tastes better surrounded by nature.

Two different sets of guests have set me some wonderful feed back. One in the form of an amazing review (via AirB&B) the other a short video of their adventures.

The review-

We’ve just returned from a wonderful five-day stay and couldn’t have asked for more. If you’re looking for somewhere to truly switch off from the world, relax and immerse yourself in nature, this is it. The cabin is peaceful, secluded and private, surrounded by beautiful scenery and constant birdsong.

The woodland walks became magical adventures for our children, and the swing beneath the willow tree created so many moments of joy and laughter. The cabin itself has everything you need, with a lovely decking area perfect for breakfast in the morning or a relaxing drink in the evening while taking in the views.

Mike is a fantastic host, welcoming, helpful and attentive from arrival to departure. Nothing was ever too much trouble.

The Forest of Dean is only a short drive away and makes for a perfect day out. Symonds Yat Rock is a must-visit.

We came away wanting quality family time and a chance to escape everyday life. We found that and so much more, creating memories we’ll treasure.

What an absolute scorcher it’s been this week. Thankfully things have finally started to cool down today.
That said, our guests have still had an amazing time. Even in the heat, there’s no shortage of shady spots to relax — and cooling off in the brook has been just the ticket.
Now that the May bank holidays are behind us, it’s time to start thinking about the school summer holidays. And if the long‑range forecasts are anything to go by, we’re heading toward a warmer‑than‑average summer with the chance of more heatwaves as the season goes on.
So really, there’s no better place to cool down than right here at Hidden Valley Yurts.

Can you believe it? In 2027, Hidden Valley Yurts will be celebrating its 20th anniversary! 🥳

Since Peter and Amanda first opened our doors in 2007, and since we took over the adventure in 2015, this valley has been home to countless smilesand "perfect moments in time."

Over the last 11 years, we’ve gathered thousands of photos—many sent in by you, our wonderful guests! I’ve been sifting through the archives and wanted to share a few of my absolute favorites:

Tilly & Brook: From the beautiful (deeply missed and fondly remembered) Tilly to our resident Springer Spaniel, Brook, and his legendary ball obsession! 🎾🐾
