🚨Important information🚨

Due to extreme heat forecasted next week we will be mainly working on bookings only from tomorrow evening until further notice.

Kitchen service may be reduced if the kitchen becomes to hot to work in.

We have a couple of tables left for Father's day tomorrow so if you still fancy a roast, get yourself booked in quick.

We are fully booked this evening.

Yet more road closure sigs have appeared (for a different road), just to be more confusing for people. Welsh highways and Gloucestershire highways need to give their heads a wobble.

We have local topside of beef with Yorkshire pudding or breast of turkey with stuffing.

🌸Beautiful wild orchards are now out in bloom. 🌸

Our woodlands and fields are beautiful this time of year.

There are so many walkes right from the doorstep of the hotel, if your stuck where to go just ask a member of staff and the will tell you some of their favourites.

Tintern is open and the A466 is clear all the way from Chepstow to Bigsweir Bridge. There is no need to take the signed diversions at the Chepstow racecourse roundabout (but do do if you are an HGV travelling to Monmouth). Nor should you obey the road closed signs at St Arvans. Ignore them!
If you are travelling from Monmouth go to Trellech and drop down to Tintern on the Catbrook Rd.
If you are travelling from the Forest drop down to Mork and cross at Bigsweir Bridge. Ignore the diversion signs that will take you to St Briavels! fookes - people are not coming to Tintern as usual.
We were quiet on Sunday - this is not normal trading. We have elderly regulars who see these signs and go home. Overseas tourists staying with us call in a panic. This signage is decimating Tintern businesses.

Good Morning, We are open today serving lunch from 12.

If your are visiting tintern and want to escape the noise and chaos we are just a 15 minute walk from the Abbey and 2 mins by car. Great homecooked food and lots of parking.
