We provide educational visits with homestay accommodation for mini & short stay groups from all over Europe.

Our students stay with host families from across Cheshire, the Wirral and North Wales 💚 We provide homestay accommodation for short stay overseas students visiting the North West of the UK.

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of welcoming an incredible group of agents to Chester for the Linguastay & Study Travel ALPHE 2026 FAM Trip! 💛🇬🇧

We kicked off the day with a presentation introducing Linguastay, what we do and what makes our programmes so memorable. We then headed to the Deva Roman Experience before taking a short tour of Chester, showcasing some of the city’s most iconic sights, including the famous Eastgate Clock! 🏛️⏰

The day finished with a delicious dinner at The Ship Inn Handbridge in Handbridge. 🍽️✨

The FAM trip was a fantastic opportunity for our agents to see first-hand the amazing work that goes on at Linguastay, experience a taste of our sample programmes and meet some of the incredible people behind our student experiences.

A huge thank you to all of our amazing agents who joined us. It was so lovely to meet you all, share what we do and give you a taste of the Linguastay experience.

🏡 Families needed – host international students (paid)

We’re currently working with host families in and around Chester and are now looking for additional households in the area to welcome international students and join the Linguastay community.

Students are aged 11–17 and stay for short, fixed periods (3–5 nights).
✔️ Paid hosting
✔️ Short stays – no long-term commitment
✔️ Coach pick-up at approx. 7:00pm each evening
✔️ Coach drop-off at approx. 7:45am each morning
✔️ Designed to fit around normal working hours
✔️ Fully supported by our experienced team

You don’t need to be a “traditional” family — our hosts include couples, single parents, blended families, divorced or widowed adults, and families with or without children. What matters is a warm home, spare beds, and a welcoming attitude.

With over 20 years’ experience, Linguastay makes hosting straightforward, supported, and genuinely rewarding.

What a summer this has been!

Ukraine 🇺🇦

Nine countries. Hundreds of young people. A lot of organised chaos… and an incredible amount of joy.

There are plenty of days in this job spent looking at spreadsheets, bookings, coach lists and solving problems.

And then there are days like these.
Days when you get to see what all that work was actually for.

Young people arriving from completely different parts of the world, some nervous and unsure, and then watching them laugh together, explore together, make friendships and create memories.
That has probably been my favourite part of this summer.

I’ve loved being out there amongst it too — talking to the students, joining the activities, visiting places with them and occasionally being dragged into another selfie!

I'm incredibly proud of what our team at Linguastay has created this summer and hugely grateful to everyone behind it — our staff, teachers, activity teams, local coordinators and host families.

We talk a lot about creating “a home away from home.”

This summer, I’ve had the privilege of watching that actually happen.

And it has brought us more joy than we probably expected. 💚🩷

6 weeks

Students travel independently into Chester each day for full days of activities and excursions.

Students are placed in single rooms in families but can share with other nationalities.
