Sometimes we have to leave a mark and ‘drag a path’ through the land. These paths lead to something new, they give chance and space and sunlight to plants and creatures who wouldn’t have otherwise found it. Rewilding doesn’t always look like how we thought it would, These ‘paths’ made a couple of years ago cleared room for us to grow trees, trees that one day will become woodland. We were working on something important, however, whilst making them it felt destructive. Sometimes the scars we acquire, are the exact places new things grow.

Rewilding Diaries, part 3: Cutting Paths. Join Matt as he uses our tractor and topper to clear a path that will allow us to move around Cow Close Farm without getting prickled by thistles.
