Berry Pen Cottage – a welcoming, accessible stay in the Cotswolds 🌿♿
We’re really proud that Berry Pen Cottage, here at Kingham Cottages, works so well for guests with disabilities – without compromising on beauty, comfort or character.
Lovingly re-created in 2016 from historic stabling and groom’s quarters, Berry Pen is light, spacious and thoughtfully designed. It sleeps 5–6 guests across three en-suite bedrooms, including a ground-floor bedroom with a wheelchair-accessible wet room and walk-in shower. Additional shower aids can be provided on request, and the layout works well for guests who prefer to avoid stairs.
✨ Why Berry Pen works so well for accessible holidays
Ground-floor en-suite bedroom with wheelchair-accessible wet room
Wide glazed doors opening onto a south-facing, wheelchair-accessible terrace garden
Large, open-plan living space on the ground floor with comfortable seating and open fire
Underfloor heating throughout and excellent water pressure
Parking directly outside the property
Upstairs, the two further en-suite bedrooms offer flexibility for families or carers, while the generous kitchen, dining and living areas make it easy for everyone to gather together comfortably.
Just 100 yards away, guests also have access five acres of flat gardens, shared with the other Kingham Cottages.
If you’re considering a stay at Berry Pen and a member of your party has a disability, we strongly encourage you to call us. We’re always happy to talk through individual needs and do everything we can to ensure a relaxed, comfortable and confidence-giving stay.
📞 Accessible, considered and genuinely welcoming – Berry Pen is a place where everyone can feel at home.
