Sometimes at Escapes we have to play detective- I was asked to identify a bird that a guest had seen, they said it was about the size of a pigeon and then they showed me a picture that they drew 😂
After putting my thinking cap on (for quite a while!) I eventually worked out that what they saw was a Jay, a shy woodland bird, there is a nesting pair I see around the glamping site quite often.

What an amazing week for wildlife spotting around the glamping site, and these are just the ones who aren’t camera shy! The bird song throughout the day is wonderfully relaxing.
Remember to bring your binoculars when you come to stay and let us know what you spot.

You must know by now how much we love our local businesses, it turns out our guests love them as well!
Every hamper ordered through our online shop helps support local, plus it’s all ready and waiting for your arrival to the glamping site. Not only does it save you a trip to the supermarket but it’s also fresh and super tasty.
This recent order helped us support 7 of our local small, independent businesses and we are very grateful.

It’s been such a glorious week that we couldn’t resist popping over to Acton Scott Farm Cafe for a pot of tea and some lunch in the sunshine.
We love supporting our neighbours and the food was wonderful as always, we will be going back many more times!
Guests can also visit the cafe, it’s just a short walk from Escapes. Cafe open Wednesday to Sunday.

Happy Earth Day
We love nature here at Escapes and it especially magical when you see moments like this.
This is a Muntjac deer, just wandering around the peaceful woodland without a worry in the world
