π¨ 20% VAT. 100% UNFAIR. IT'S TIME FOR CHANGE. π¬π§
π½οΈ HOSPITALITY NEEDS YOUR SUPPORT!
Hospitality is the heart of our communities, but how much more can pubs, restaurants, cafΓ©s, bars and hotels take?
Rising food costs, energy bills, wages, National Insurance and business rates are putting our industry under immense pressure. Businesses are closing, jobs are being lost, and the places that bring our communities together are struggling to survive.
So why is hospitality still paying 20% VAT?
Chef and restaurateur Tom Kerridge is backing the campaign, calling on the Government to reduce hospitality VAT from 20% to 10%.
This isn't just about helping businesses make more money. It's about:
π¨βπ³ Protecting jobs and the people who work in our industry.
π¨ Keeping independent hotels, pubs and restaurants open.
ποΈ Supporting our local communities and high streets.
π Giving businesses the chance to invest, grow and thrive.
The campaign has gained significant public support, with a petition delivered to Downing Street ahead of the Budget.
As someone working in this industry, I see how hard teams work every single day to deliver great experiences while costs continue to rise.
We want to serve our communities, support our teams and give customers the experiences they deserve β but we need a fairer system to make that possible.
This isn't about asking for special treatment. It's about giving UK hospitality a fair chance to survive.
If we want our pubs, restaurants, cafΓ©s and hotels to survive, it's time for the Government to listen.
π Please sign and share the petition. Every voice counts.
