Safe to say it’s been a long Bank Holiday weekend at The Holme Bush Inn 🍻☀️

No quads were harmed.
The bin’s dignity on the other hand… questionable 😄

⚠️ CUSTOMER NOTICE ⚠️

Unfortunately due to the ongoing cellar issues we will be closed today while we continue trying to resolve the problem.

We’re really sorry for the inconvenience and appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding over the last few days 🙌

🎤 The good news…
We’re planning to reopen tomorrow from 4:30PM, with Karaoke from 8PM 🎶🍻

Fingers crossed for a smoother day tomorrow 🤞

🍺 CELLAR UPDATE 🍺

Unfortunately our cellar cooling system has now completely failed and requires replacement.

At the moment we don’t yet know when we’ll be able to fully restore draft beer service while we wait for the new cooling equipment to be approved and installed.

For now we still have:
🍺 Bottled beers
🥤 Soft drinks
🍷 Wine
🥃 Spirits available

A huge thank you to everyone who has been patient and understanding while the team work through the issue 🙌❤️

🤠🎶 DAY 3 – BLACK SHEEP BARN DANCE 🎶🤠

We’re into day three of the Bank Holiday weekend and today we welcome Black Sheep Barn Dance from 1PM 🙌

Now for the less glamorous update…
🥵 The cellar is STILL broken!

Even with equipment switched off overnight, it’s slowly warming up again this morning 😅

👉 Indoor bar will be serving:
🍺 Bottled lager & ale
🥤 Soft drinks
🍷 Wine
🥃 Spirits

👉 Outside bar still has:
🍻 Draft beer available
🍹 Alcoholic & non-alcoholic slushies
🍾 Selection

🥵🍺 NOT IDEAL ON A BANK HOLIDAY WEEKEND… 🍺🥵

A huge “thank you” to Stonegate for leaving us with a non-functioning cellar this weekend 🙃

For anyone wondering why this matters…
🍺 Beer needs to be kept cold in the cellar before it even reaches the pumps.

At 33°C:
❌ Beer quality suffers
❌ Cooling systems struggle
❌ Pumps can fail
❌ Nobody enjoys a warm pint on a hot Bank Holiday weekend 😅

Despite the challenges, the team have worked flat out all weekend to keep drinks flowing, customers happy and the atmosphere going strong 🙌

Massive thanks as well to everyone who’s been patient and supportive while we’ve battled through it 🍻❤️

Now… if anyone can order us a giant industrial ice cube, that’d be great 😄
