As we close out the Summer holidays and the rain has brought back some colour to our grass, we are now entering our 9 week wind down and reset phase until the end of the Season on Sunday 1st November!

Where has the time gone (I know we say this every year!)

As we transition into the Autumn, there is still lots of time to book a little break if you fancy one. Steady mornings - drawing evenings and fresh walks and swims!

We have a good range of serviced and standard pitches left for the remainder of this season and our calendar is open and lively for next season for those of you who like to plan ahead.

We are wanting to share a huge thank you to everyone for another wonderful Summer! It's been a hot one but what a treat to have so many days where one of the main decisions is to pick which beach to hop onto for the day!

Although we still have a few weeks until Autumn officially sets in, the evenings are drawing in and the temperatures are settling down.

Monday (tomorrow), marks the transition week for us where many families with children begin to make their way home, readying for a return to school and we are soon to welcome all those who can visit outside of term times to share the closing 3rd of our season with.

Still lots to enjoy and a time where we get to appreciate all of what has already come to pass. And, to enjoy working with nature's cycles as we help replenish all our pitches after their seasonal service! Simple pleasures and a steadying pace.

A diary entry here for the next 5 weeks of availability. Plenty of most pitch types available. A gentle reminder no pre-booking required or minimum nights stay. Arrivals accepted up until 7pm on the same day and bookings or payments can be made on site.

We are so excited that the Rogue Theatre are starting their Summer performances from Today!

18th to 31st August

A fabulous display of outdoor theatre in one of our local woods, Tehidy, just 2 miles from our campsite.

An experience I recommend to all to capture the imaginations of the young and mature children at heart!

We hope you get a chance to book up as it’s a huge favourite of ours! 🤩 After over 15 years, they are running as strong as ever and a great way to fill some time on a drizzly day 😉

A quick morning post about a couple of cancellations for this last segment of August if anyone still fancies a late getaway this Summer!

1. Sunday 16th August for up to 4 nights in an all grass, optional electric pitch suitable for tents, trailer tents, campervans or motorhomes.

2. Tuesday 25th August for up to 4 nights in either a fully serviced touring pitch OR all grass, optional grass

Happy Lammas to all those who recognise the half way point of Summer! A time to celebrate the first grain and cereal harvest of the year!

Here on site we have not long cut and baled hay which is a first in many years for us as we have a year of no animals on site. It certainly reminds me of many wonderful childhood memories that the smells can reel me back to in an instance.

As we embark on August its been a wonderful time to witness all that has come to full light - breakings dawns, a meadow full of child's play and laughter, a beautiful buck full moon and the simplicity of feet in warm water and the sunsets on our favourite beaches. Nature has a way of bringing us back to the here and now with the sounds, sights and smells that can fill us up!

I am feeling full of gratitude for all who have already come this year and Summer and for those of you who we are yet to share time with this year! So a huge thank you to you all! Its truly is a pleasure doing this work with such wonderful guests in such a wonderful home place.

For anyone wishing to pop a short break in or a flying visit during the rest of our Summer here is our diary for August and the first part of September. This is a sale post on behalf of a lovely elderly couple who live very close to us in the village:

QUEST SCREEN HOUSE 4 PRO STAND ALONE AWNING: £195
Pop up stand alone awning in carry bag. Used once so in as new condition. Quick and easy to erect. Buyers to collect from Illogan (just opposite our access lane).

This couple have now retired from camping at the impressive ages of 86 and 87 years! They are a quite a marvel and full of wonderful stories of many camping adventures.

**CANCELLATION ON PITCH 2 IN OUR PADDOCK**

AVAILABLE FROM THURSDAY 30TH JULY, FRIDAY 31ST OF JULY OR SATURDAY 1ST AUGUST FOR 2 WEEKS.

£30 per night for up to 2 people sharing. Maximum 6 people per pitch (additional charges apply for additional people). Includes grey waste, water and electric on the pitch. Semi-hard standing gravel/grass and a large corner pitch (see picture below). No additional charges for awnings or dogs.
