This Christmas & New Year, come and hang out with us at The Shoregate.
Bookings are now open for our 8-course Hogmanay tasting menu dinner and our all-day roast menu on the 1st & 2nd January. For groups of eight or more, contact us to find out about our special pre-Christmas lunch or dinner menus. We even have an extra session night on Wednesday 30th.

Crail and the East Neuk will feature in a new C4 documentary starting tonight on More4 at 9pm

The brand-new ten episode series celebrates the landscapes, people and culture of Scotland’s eastern coastline.

Scotland’s Golden Coast, investigates the country’s east coast, from the Moray Firth down to Eyemouth.

Firecrest Films, the series producers, spent three days in early June filming Crail and the East Neuk, talking to The Shoregate owners, Damon and Nicholas, and the Grieve family, from the famous Crail Pottery.

The Shoregate will feature in the first run of five episodes starting 23rd September (More4 9pm and available on catchup), and the Crail Pottery will feature in the second run of five in February.

We could use another pair of hands front of house and we'd love them to be yours. Taking orders, serving plates of deliciousness, shimmying a cocktail shaker and pulling a pint or two.

The pay's good with decent tips, the hours are negotiable, we'll feed you when on duty and the chefs hardly ever shout (except kind words of support and encouragement).

Plus we're Michelin-listed and ranked by the Times, The Telegraph and Booking.com as one of the best places to stay in the UK (which won't look too bad on your CV).

A dash of experience would be nice but not essential – the ability to hold eye contact and smile when answering questions about the menu is more important.

Sometimes a b**r is just perfection. Or perhaps a chilled glass of rosé or a full bodied red is on the cards to hit the right spot.
But can anything really match a freshly shaken cocktail to set the taste buds trembling?

The bar is open Wednesday to Sunday from 12:00 and from half three on Mondays and Tuesdays.

One of these cocktails is alcohol free... can you tell the difference? The Shoregate’s alcohol-free options get exactly the same care, craft, and creativity as the rest of the menu. No sad glass of nondescript juices here.

The Velour Blossom. Kwai Feh lychee liqueur and Wild Rose gin, lifted with fresh lemon and pomegranate. Elegant, floral, and stupidly good.

Cocktails are at the ready from 12, Wed - Sun and now from 3, Mon & Tues.
