Whilst the young team have a rest this weekend team Balmalcolm have arrived at the Scottish Ploughing Championships 2026. Davy and Jackson are ready with Benny at the plough and Isobel guiding them from the front. A fitting photo of last years ploughing championship with gorgeous George and Jackson. Let’s hope the weather holds out! Storm Austin maybe hold off until Sunday when they are all home.

Good luck everyone a magnificent site seeing all these pairs of horses this year

What a great day yesterday the Small holders festival. Miss Maddie had her first day out and she was a superstar. She took it all in her stride her first day away from home, first run in the lorry with her big brother, first time meeting the public and never bothered herself about any of it.

Benji was also on form, performing for the crowd and waiting to speak to anyone who passed by. He took exception to a fellow Clyde taking the limelight in the cart display and made his feelings known with the winnie as Asha went past 🤣. Note to Benji you can’t do it all and need to let someone else have the limelight as well
