✨ A little glow-up! ✨

Our winter weekend closure gives us the perfect opportunity to catch up on maintenance and keep the property looking fresh.

New carpets have been installed yesterday - As always, a big thank you to Paul's Carpets of Dalton for fantastic quality, service and price.

Supporting local businesses like ours means we can shop local too! ✨

🍂 We love autumn! Things quieten down a little, giving us time to recharge, light the candles and enjoy the cosy vibes. 🕯️🤎

Our lodge always gets so many compliments on how gorgeous it smells, and it’s all thanks to Fika & Fell Home Fragrances, a small independent business we love supporting. ✨

Cosy season, candlelight and supporting small businesses — what’s not to love? 🍁

✨ Sorry we’ve been a little MIA! ✨

We’ve had lots going on behind the scenes, so here’s a little update on what we’ve been up to! 🥰💕

We finished the August bank holiday weekend on a HIGH, with Laura getting ENGAGED! 💍🥂 Such an exciting moment to celebrate especially after working all weekend! ❤️

Then she jetted off to Greece for a well-deserved break in the sunshine and to celebrate ☀️🇬🇷

We’ve also been celebrating a very special lady’s 60th birthday — our amazing Mum and Nanna! 🎂🥳💗

As always, life has been busy behind the scenes, making memories, celebrating special moments and enjoying some precious family time. 🫶🏼

✨ But don’t worry, we’re still very much OPEN for business as usual throughout the winter! ✨

We’ll be here Monday–Friday as normal, so please do get in touch with any enquiries.

Thanks as always for your support ✨

Well, that’s our busiest week ever at Chequers Lodge done and dusted! 🎉

2 laundry deliveries, 350 biscuits later, and if I do say so ourselves, we’ve absolutely smashed it! 💪

A huge thank you to all our guests, especially those attending the Manjushri Kadampa Meditation Centre and our many returning visitors. Your loyalty means so much to us.

Now we go again! Just one room left tonight before our regular corporate guests are back for the working week.

Bookings are available 24/7 on our website

Our King Room with Kitchenette has a comfortable Kingsize bed, en-suite with shower, smart TV, Tea/Coffee making facilities, under counter fridge, built in Microwave, sink and small breakfast bar area with 2 bar stools and tableware for 2 people.

This morning one of our guests’ vans decided it had no interest in going anywhere. 🚐😴

Thankfully, we had jump leads, a willing pair of hands, and got them back on the road in no time.

Room? ✔️ Complimentary roadside assistance? Apparently also ✔️🤣

This is why you book a small independent business!

Today we’re fully booked as we welcome guests for the International Festival at Manjushri Kadampa Meditation Centre. 🙏✨

It’s one of our favourite events in the calendar, and we’re delighted to be welcoming guests from Florida, Marbella, and beyond who have travelled to be part of this special event.

Today we also said goodbye to some wonderful guests, who left us the most thoughtful gift before checking out. Gestures like these mean so much to our team, and we’re incredibly grateful for your kindness. ❤️

We wish everyone attending the festival a peaceful, inspiring, and memorable time, and we look forward to welcoming many more guests over the coming days 🌸

🤯 A HUGE MILESTONE FOR US! 🤯

It looks like this week could be the first time ever that our whole property is occupied at 100% for 7 days straight! 🎉

We normally run at around 70% occupancy, so reaching this incredible milestone means so much to us❤️

We also have a cancellation list, so if your preferred dates are fully booked, please get in touch and we’ll let you know if anything becomes available.

Thank you to everyone who has booked with us — we can’t wait to welcome you all! ✨
