We have 32 en suite rooms set in 18 acres of lawns and woodlands. We have an on site restaurant, 1189 Bar and kitchen where we serve local produce in a traditional setting.

A new chapter for our Castle bedrooms

We’re continuing to invest in Walworth Castle, carefully renovating and upgrading our bedrooms to give guests an even better stay while keeping the character that makes the castle such a special place to visit.

From rooms tucked away in the Castle’s historic towers to spacious suites, four-poster bedrooms and rooms overlooking the gardens, each has its own character and is individually styled. Our renovations are designed to make the most of those individual features, combining fresh interiors and thoughtful touches with the history and architecture already found within the Castle.

ABBA on the Terrace is moving indoors!

We’ve had a close look at this afternoon’s weather forecast and have made the decision to move today’s event indoors at Walworth Castle.

The event is still going ahead as planned, with Absolutely ABBA live from 3pm–5pm.

Moving indoors means we can protect the band and their equipment from the unpredictable weather, while making sure everyone can relax and enjoy the afternoon without worrying about the rain.

We’re looking forward to welcoming you to the Castle later today.

We’re not just a hotel, wedding and events venue. Did you know Walworth Castle can also provide the backdrop for product shoots, campaigns and brand launches?

We recently welcomed a men’s footwear brand to the Castle for a fashion shoot, making use of different spaces around the building to create a variety of settings and styles throughout the day.

With historic interiors, individually styled bedrooms, atmospheric spaces, extensive grounds and plenty of character, the Castle is an incredibly versatile venue that can be used in all sorts of ways.

From fashion and product photography to filming, content creation, launches, corporate events and private experiences, we’re always open to exploring how our spaces can work for something a little different.

We’re bringing a live band to the Castle Terrace for the very first time, and Absolutely ABBA will be joining us to get things started.

Imagine sitting on our terrace, drink in hand, the smell and taste of delicious BBQ food on a Bank Holiday Sunday, singing along to hits like Dancing Queen and Waterloo with the backdrop of Walworth Castle🙌

📅 Sunday 30th August
🎤 Absolutely ABBA live, 3pm–5pm
🔥 BBQ food available to purchase
🍹 Outdoor tiki bar open until 6pm
🔞 Adults 18+
🎟️ Tickets £25 per person

It’s the last Bank Holiday before Christmas, so get a few friends together, arrive early to grab your spot and make an afternoon of it at the Castle.

And if you don’t fancy the taxi home, make a night of it with an overnight stay at Walworth Castle, breakfast the following morning and free parking for hotel guests.

🏰 And that’s a wrap on an incredible summer of D&D in a Castle at Walworth Castle! 🎲

For the past two weeks, the Castle has been transformed into a world of tabletop adventure, with our very own dungeon playing its part in the magic.

We’ve welcomed adventurers from across the globe, including the USA, Canada and Australia, and it’s been fantastic to see Walworth Castle brought to life in a completely different way.

A huge thank you to the brilliant D&D in a Castle team, Dungeon Masters and, of course, every guest who joined us. You’ve filled the Castle with stories, characters, laughter and more than a little magic.

We’re already looking forward to welcoming D&D in a Castle back this October!

For now, the dice have been packed away and we’re back open as usual for hotel stays, lunch, dinner, Sunday lunch and afternoon tea, as well as weddings and events.

And there’s still plenty happening this summer…

D&D in a Castle is coming back to Walworth Castle next week! 🏰🎲

Please note we will be closed to the public from Tuesday 11th August to Thursday 20th August as the castle and its estate are exclusively booked for the adventurers joining us from around the world.

We’ll be back and ready to welcome you on Thursday 20th August from 12pm.

We know you’ll miss dining with us in the meantime, so why not book to join us for lunch, dinner, or afternoon tea this weekend?

It's Christmas... (not quite yet!)

Don't worry, we're not dusting off the Christmas playlists just yet. We've still got plenty of summer to enjoy, including our ABBA on the Terrace Summer BBQ on Sunday 30th August. 🕺✨

But while we're getting ready to say thank you for the music, we're also opening bookings for the festive season.

Our Christmas calendar of events is now live and, believe it or not, we've already welcomed a couple of Christmas break bookings and even a handful of reservations for Christmas Day Lunch.

We know... we're as surprised as you are! 🤣

We wanted to let you know that Christmas is available to book now. Maybe your workplace is searching for the perfect Christmas party night, your group of friends never misses a festive get together, or you know the little ones will be asking to see Santa long before December arrives.

If you're still making the most of summer, we don't blame you. So are we. There's nothing better than an afternoon or evening on our terrace with great food, cocktails and sunshine, especially with an ABBA soundtrack and BBQ to look forward to later this month.

Behind the scenes, though, Christmas planning is well underway, and the most popular dates always book first. So whether you're ready to secure your place with a deposit or simply want to see what's coming up, we've got everything you need.
