Mothecombe and Noss Mayo 🐾

A walk down through the wooded trail to Mothecombe Beach and around the coastal path is easily one of the loveliest ways to spend a Sunday in South Devon. The wide sand is dog-friendly, the water is calm, and the circular route along the coastline gives you some of the quietest views across the water.

Stop by The Schoolhouse for coffee, breakfast, or lunch, then take the short drive over to Noss Mayo.

A half of c***r and a shared pizza at The Ship Inn by the water makes the perfect spot overlooking the river to wrap up the day. The Sunday roast also looked delicious!

Strete Gate - Sunday morning 🌊

Empty beach. Warm sun. Willow racing across the sand before you’ve even put your shoes down.

The anticipation of swimming in the sea. A blade surfer cutting through the bay. The Salcombe Dairy coffee hut rolling up its shutters just as you wander off the beach.

No alarm. No rush. Just the kind of morning that makes you forget the rest of the week exists.

Salcombe, South Devon 🌊

Narrow streets, independent shops, great pubs and that estuary view that stops you mid-conversation. This little town has a way of making you forget what day it is.

We’ve been taking guests here for years. The deli on Fore Street, the galleries tucked down side lanes, the crab sandwiches eaten on the harbour wall. It never gets old.
