We are noticing that our special family cards are already becoming very popular and also our special Dawlish Christmas Cards too, featuring wintry sea front scenes and of course our gorgeous black swans and cygnets.

The black swans of Dawlish are nesting again and currently Bluey & Rosie have two eggs in their nest.

It is quite common for the black swans here to nest throughout the colder months, with most recent clutches of cygnets hatching in autumn and winter.

It looks like our other breeding pair, Kimba & Bert, are looking for a nesting site too.

🍰🍓 TOMORROW IN DAWLISH! 🍓🍰

Who‘s coming to this incredible food festival in Dawlish town centre tomorrow?

Saturday 12th September 10am - 4pm

EAT: Dawlish will once again be bringing lots of yummy food to the town, with street performers and live music to enjoy also.

Make a day of it with a lovely walk along Dawlish sea front, have a look around the shops and have a nice coffee or beer in our cafes and pubs.

Don’t forget to say hello to our famous black swans too!

You might even see an egg or two… 🦢🪺

Another stunning start on the South Devon coast this morning. 🌅🌊

Taken from Lee Mountain in Dawlish, looking back across the town and along the coastline as the first light began to build.

The sea was beautifully calm, the sky had just enough colour in it, and Dawlish was only just starting to wake up.

Mornings like this are exactly why I don’t mind being out with the camera before most people are awake. 😊
