Hi friends, we hope we can call you friends?
Our names are Asher and Hugo, and we have just arrived at what we hope will be our forever home. Although we arrived together, the journeys that brought us here were very different.
I’m Asher, and I’m 10 years young. My previous family were moving overseas and, sadly, they weren’t able to find someone who could take me with them. So I found myself needing a new home.
And I’m Hugo, and I’m 7 years old. I have epilepsy and need regular medication to keep me well. Sadly, my previous family reached a point where they could no longer afford the medication and care I needed, so I too found myself looking for a new home.
And that’s how two very different stories brought us here… together.
We’re now on a three-week trial, and we’re really hoping that this is the place where our stories finally have a happy ending. We’re hoping we’ve found somewhere safe. Somewhere loving. Somewhere we can unpack our little bags, settle in and know that we’re not going anywhere again.
We know we’re the new boys and there’s lots for us to learn. We’re getting to know our new surroundings, our new family and all the other members of the Team.
But we’re hopeful.
Because sometimes, when life takes you somewhere you never expected to go, you can end up exactly where you were meant to be.
So, while we wait to see if this really is our forever home, we have a very important question for you…
