The bank holiday really pulled out all the stops with the weather and we brought the food and great hospitality to compliment it! Thank you to all our guests that shared the weekend with us.

Bookings are open for our OPEN FARM SUNDAY taking place at Carrick's at Castle Farm on the 7th June 2026. Entry is FREE, follow the book now button, to give us an idea of numbers on the day! Come enjoy some family fun games, picnic on the lawn, a splash on the banks of the River Wensum (bring a towel), enjoy a tractor ride to visit our herd of Pedigree Lincoln Red Cattle, watch a Drone spraying demonstration by Crop Angel. We will also have some local Goats visit the farm. Not forgetting some fine food and refreshements to take you through the afternoon, provided by Darbys Pub, Algy's Farm Shop pizzas and Dann's Ice Creams and Delicious Cakes and Bakes brought to you by the The travelling tea pot. Enjoy all this while soaking up the beautiful surroundings and enjoying some live music from Chris Wilson Music from 12-3pm. OFS will be attended by local farm charities and organisations such as YANA (You are not alone), RABI (Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution), FCN (Farming Community Network).

As always Carricks at Castle Farm lives up to 5 star quality ! Stayed in the Huntsman cottage .. accommodation fab, comfortable bed and bed linen, well equipped kitchen, lovely furnishings. Jean and the stuff always make us feel so welcome.. like family now !

FEATURED BEDROOM - THE DRESSING ROOM
We’ve called this particular haven the Dressing Room because this is where John’s father actually used to dress for special occasions from the 1930s. It’s set deep in the heart of the house and has become a real favourite with guests who request it especially. It’s a cosy room but a grand one, too, with those sunset views up the valley and a window, too, over the central farmyard. A massively comfortable double bed and en suite featuring a fabulous power shower make this a complete marriage of new and old.
