🎃👻 That’s weekend one of Halloween done! 👻🎃

A HUGE thank you to everyone who came along and braved the weather with us this weekend! You were all absolute legends, the kids were brilliant, and we’ve got through an incredible amount of marshmallows!

We’ve loved seeing so many little monsters enjoying the trails, crafts and Halloween fun, whatever the weather threw at us!

We can’t wait to see more of you little monsters from Friday 30th October! 🕷️🦇

🎃 **HALLOWEEN FUN AT LITTON LAKES – Near Dorchester, DORSET**

Come and discover the beautiful Litton Lakes, tucked away in the stunning village of Litton Cheney, just off the A35 between Dorchester and Bridport.

Litton Lakes is a family-run activity lake and campsite with a laid-back, Aussie-style lakeside café, lakeside sauna and enclosed play park. While it might be a little chilly for a dip in the lake this time of year, day visitors are still very welcome!

Fancy a change of scenery? Wander around the lake with the kids and dogs, soak up the views and then head to the café for a proper coffee. The enclosed play park sits right next to the café, meaning grown-ups can refuel while little legs burn off some energy. ☕🛝

And this October half term, the Halloween fun is back! 🎃

Join Litton Lakes for their Halloween Scavenger Hunt, where little detectives can explore the lake trail, hunt for hidden numbers and crack the secret code to reveal a spooky mystery word. Solve the puzzle and win a prize!

There’ll also be Halloween crafts and marshmallow toasting – everything you need for a fun-filled autumn adventure.

Fancy a spooky day out with the kids this half term? We’ve got a few things up our sleeves… 👻

🔎 HALLOWEEN SCAVENGER HUNT - Follow the trail around the lake, hunt down the hidden numbers and crack the secret code to reveal a spooky mystery word. Get it right and there’s a prize waiting for you! 🕵️‍♀️

🎨 HALLOWEEN CRAFTS - Get creative and make something spooky to take home.

🔥 MARSHMALLOW TOASTING - Because no autumn adventure is complete without a toasted marshmallow or two!

🛝 PLAY PARK - Our play park is already here and ready for action.

📅 WHEN? Sat 24th–Sun 25th October, Fri 30th October–Sun 1st November

⏰ 10am–2pm

💷 £6 per child includes the scavenger hunt and prize, halloween crafts AND marshmallow toasting.

Booking is advised but not essential.

NEW WINTER SEASONAL LAKE PASSES 26/27

Keep swimming, paddling and enjoying the lake right through the colder months.

This winter we’ve got two Seasinal pass options:

Standard Lake Pass — £50
Unlimited lake access for one person.

Family Pass for 4 — £135
Unlimited lake access for up to four people — a great-value option for families who want to keep enjoying the lake together.

Both passes give you unlimited lake access during daylight hours until 31 March 2027.

Cold-water swims, crisp mornings, paddleboarding, or simply getting outside and enjoying the lake when it’s a little quieter.

Colder days. Brighter minds.

🔥 IMPORTANT UPDATE – FIRE PITS & BBQs

Due to the current very high fire risk across the country and the latest government guidance, we are temporarily banning all fire pits and coal/charcoal BBQs at Litton Lakes until further notice.

This isn't a decision we've taken lightly. We know sitting around the fire is a big part of the camping experience, but with the ground and surrounding countryside so dry, even a small ember can quickly turn into a serious wildfire.

🚫 No fire pits
🚫 No coal or charcoal BBQs
🚫 No open fires

Please do not bring or use them on site, even if they are raised off the ground.

🔥 Gas BBQs are permitted where used safely and responsibly.

We will keep monitoring the situation and will let everyone know as soon as we are able to lift the restriction.

Thank you for helping us protect Litton Lakes, the surrounding countryside and local wildlife. ❤️
