Perfect Little Romantic Escape

My girlfriend and I spent a weekend here and honestly couldn’t have asked for more. From the moment we arrived, it just felt special — the converted barn has so much character, and the wood burner made the evenings incredibly cosy. We genuinely didn’t want to leave the apartment some nights!

The place is spotless, really well equipped, and the little thoughtful touches made it feel like more than just a rental. The host was warm and welcoming without being intrusive, which we really appreciated.

Location was great too — quiet and rural, but still easy to get into Sheffield or head out to the Peak District during the day. Perfect balance.

If you’re planning a romantic getaway, don’t hesitate. We’re already talking about coming back.

Little Hive is a lovely property and had everything I could want. Many AirBNBs (in my experience) are put together with cheaper furnishings and fittings but this one was so comfy and relaxing. The bed and mattress - first class for the best night’s sleep.

The host even asked if I would like a fan when the weather was hot and then supplied me, within minutes, a very powerful fan.

Unsurprisingly they get many repeat customers and referrals and if its available next time I am looking I have no doubt I’ll be back.

Our three beautiful first-floor apartments — Little Hive ,The Old Hayloft and The Barn Owl Nest — have all been thoughtfully created from the original barns and stables on the farm, giving each one its own individual character and style.
