Old Hunters Lodge (Whipsnade) are seeking a full time experienced and passionate Sous Chef to join our kitchen team. Hours will include weekday and some weekends. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in preparing good quality dishes, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for helping create menus, managing food preparation, maintaining hygiene standards, and working collaboratively with our experienced team to deliver an exceptional dining experience. You will also be required to enjoy your work, smile and have a laugh with our team. Remuneration will depend on experience. If you are creative, dedicated, and eager to bring fresh ideas to our kitchen, we would love to hear from you.

And so we have decided to extend our services/partnership with the NHS and our Community in offering a “Free” CPR and Defibrillator session.
A small amount of your time (15-20 mins) could save a life. You will also receive a certificate confirming your attendance.

No bookings required.

After just 2 weeks of advertising our “Christmas Day” menu we can confirm we were fully booked.

We’re still taking bookings for Christmas dinners for 27th November to 24th December and we still have limited space for Christmas Parties in our function room.

Old Hunters Lodge Whipsnade Community Pub

In addition to supporting our chosen charities, The Royal British Legion, Alzheimer’s Society, MacMillan Cancer Research & The Red Cross.

For the past 6 years we continue to provide free and subsidised dinners to our friends at Whipsnade Park Homes.

For the past 2 years we’ve worked in partnership with the NHS in providing 20% discount on food to those with Blue Light Cards working in Emergency Services, NHS, Social Care Sector, Teaching Community and the Armed Forces.

🎄It’s that time of year again 🎄

🎅We released our Christmas Day menu last Friday and we’re already 100% full. We’ll welcome new customers this year and many returning again from the previous 4 years.

We open our doors at 12pm Xmas day and will be providing a single sitting, ensuring our customers have plenty of time to relax and celebrate their special day🎅

We’ve also released our Festive Menu 1st to 24th December and have limited space for Xmas parties & meals. menu can be viewed online www.oldhunterslodge.co.uk

🎅If you’re a couple or a group of up to 50, we can provide the best possible atmosphere/venue for a Christmas meal🎅

🎅We still have limited availability for our function room in Nov-Dec, so if you’re considering a Christmas get together. To avoid disappointment, you’ll need to book soon🎅

🎅We can provide a Christmas buffet for up to 150 people to relax and enjoy with your family, work colleagues or friends in our beautiful function room and weather permitting patio and lovely private garden🎅

🎅And if you fancy an overnight stay. You’ll find our bedrooms the perfect place to chill and relax before waking up to our fantastic full English or Continental Breakfast🎅
