Barnweil Self Catering We are a Scottish owned and run Bed and Breakfast situated in the beautiful peninsula of Waternish

We are the only “Scottish” owned and run Bed and Breakfast situated in the beautiful peninsula of Waternish. Our B&B overlooks the Minch and the Outer Hebrides and is only a ten minute walk from the seafront. The original house was built in 1910 and has just been renovated and extended to a very high standard. Whether you want a single day’s accommodation, or need a base to explore the Waternish peninsula and fantastic islands of the Inner Hebrides, we can provide sizeable quality rooms and En-suite’s, with a friendly and relaxed atmosphere so you enjoy your stay with us. TV, tea and coffee, unlimited hot water, Drying facilities for walkers, cyclists, motorcyclists. Wifi at no extra charge
Guests are free to come and go as they please and use the facilities throughout the day.

The first Wallace’s Monument is actually in Ayrshire. Located on Barnweil Hill near Craigie and Tarbolton in South Ayrshire, just a short drive from Kilmarnock. Erected between 1855 and 1857, predating the famous National Wallace Monument in Stirling by several years.
