The Tartan Army has penned a heartfelt thank-you letter to Boston after a week none of us will ever forget.

Our World Cup dream may be be coming to an end, but the memories will last a lifetime 💙

Here’s the full letter:

Dear Boston,

Thank you for welcoming us with open arms, open bars and open minds.

Everywhere we go, we bring tartan, bagpipes, colour, traffic cones and a party. Your residents, bartenders, baseball stadiums, law enforcement and everyone else have been so kind to us from the moment we arrived until it was time to part company.

Boston, you’ve embraced us like long-lost cousins who turned up unannounced, drank all your beer, decorated your statues, and somehow remained welcome. You are all welcome back to ours to keep this party going.

We loved making memories together. Stories will be told down through future generations in Boston and in Scotland.

🚨 CLOSING IN TWO DAYS! Respond to Highland Council’s Short-Term Let Control Area Consultations

This is one of the most significant moments yet for Scotland’s self-catering sector.

The proposals covering Highland Rural and Inverness City could have major repercussions for operators, local tourism businesses, rural economies and future investment across the sector.

If you operate in the Highlands - or anywhere in Scotland - this matters.

We need EVERY operator, supplier, tourism business and supporter to respond to the consultation before 23 June.

Silence will be interpreted as consent.

The more responses submitted, the stronger the case for fair, evidence-led policy that protects local economies, jobs and tourism communities.

The self-catering sector:

• Supports over 29,000 jobs
• Contributes £864m+ to Scotland’s economy
• Represents just 0.8% of Scotland’s housing stock

We cannot allow disproportionate restrictions to be introduced without challenge.
