Thamesview-Camping Eco friendly members only campsite on the river Thames We have twenty five pitches with composting loos and hot showers.

The pitches will change throughout the season as we add and grow, attracting wildlife and serenity. Spending your extended stay at Thamesview Camping means youre in good company. Get to know the friendly faces behind the shirts, and take advantage of the relaxing surroundings waiting for you. Welcoming members of the Greener Camping Club, this is an environmentally friendly site set in a calm and peaceful location, with minimal noise to make the most of the outdoors. Members are automatically enrolled in the club's 'Trees for Life' scheme, planting a single tree with each new membership. Pitches cater to tents, motor homes, camper vans and are spread out across 12 acres, with views towards the River Thames. A set of luxury bell tents is suited to glampers and includes their own picnic table and fire pit. Campfires are encouraged and locally sourced firewood can be found onsite, with practically zero carbon impact. Dogs are welcome though being a working cattle farm, they must be kept on a lead whilst onsite. Nearby Attractions include, Coalhouse Fort ,Tilbury Fort, Thameside Nature discovery Park, Essex to Kent Ferry, St Cleres Golf, River Thames and much much more...

We also have bikes for hire including a tandem as well as fishing rods for those who would like to try their luck on the River Thames. Check our reviews, we love happy campers on the cleanest and friendliest eco campsite in Essex.

After two weeks of complaints and unreasonable demands from guests who wanted to have fires and or use disposable barbecue! When the government has to tell you after the fire brigade have been telling you, we have been telling you. Do you still think you behaved reasonably?🤷🏼‍♂️

I can’t believe that people are still complaining about not having fires at the campsite 🏕️
Would soon be complaining if we did and their families are burnt.

A bbq has been provided by Thamesview Camping for complimentary use by guests while the fire ban is in place. Do not move from its position. Please Share the cooking space with others please do not let children use the bbq.
Please turn off the gas after use. The BbQ will be put away at 9pm if it is out please do not use after that time so as not to disturb other guests. Thanks.

Discover the fascinating Coalhouse Fort, and its park and foreshore, on a FREE guided tour this Wednesday 22 July.

As well as visiting parts of the fort, the walk includes the park’s beautiful northern side, a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest. No need to book, just meet outside the fort gates, close to the café, at 11am.
