y other events.. World famous for jazz the club is the winner of Brecon Jazz the Blue Plaque Award – voted by the public as the venue most significant in the history and development of British Jazz. Still under the same ownership, the Club celebrated its 55th anniversary in 2012. Some people mistakenly think we were named after the aeroplane infact ‘Concorde’ was taken from a piece of music written by John Lewis (who named it after Place de la Concorde in Paris) and released on LP by the Modern Jazz Quartet around 1955.
