Just a reminder that our Annual Tattie Competition is coming up!

📅 Saturday 29th August
⏰ Weigh-in at 2pm
📍 Cressfield Hotel

A few important tattie rules… 👇
🥔 Tatties must have their shaws cut off
🥔 They must still be in their original bag

If it makes things easier, you can drop your tatties at the side gates of the hotel the night before and we’ll keep them safe until the weigh-in.

And this year… 🥁🥁🥁
💰 THERE WILL BE A CASH PRIZE FOR THE WINNER! 💰🏆

🍽️ Lunch will also be served from 12 noon until 1:45pm, so why not pop in for some lunch and stay to see who takes home the Tattie Champion title! 🥔👑

So, get those tatties ready and let’s see who has grown the biggest tattie in the parish! 😂🥔

We’re proud to support our local community. Ecclefechan Christmas Lights have a few fundraising events coming up, starting off with their duck 🦆 race on Ecclefechan high street.

🦆 Saturday 8th August
Ecclefechan Duck Race
A fantastic family day out with games, ice cream and lots of fun – all raising money for the Ecclefechan Christmas Lights.

🏛 Saturday 8th August | 10am–2pm
Thomas Carlyle’s Birthplace
The National Trust for Scotland will be opening this historic property by donation. A wonderful opportunity to discover a piece of our local history.

🧠 Friday 21st August
Quiz Night at Cressfield Hotel
Gather your team and join us for a fun-filled evening!
🕢 7.30pm for an 8pm start
