Monday Madness...

We don’t know if a guest is responsible for this or if one of our own team members is pulling an outstanding prank, however it seems we have been hit by a mini wave of Capybaras at 28 York Place this afternoon.

We are finding these cheerful little figurines everywhere and we don’t know when or why they are appearing.

That is all. That’s the full post.

Is this a trend? Our Marketing Manager is flailing 😂

One street. So many reasons to explore.

This is Leith Walk.
A little bit vintage.
A little bit foodie.
A lot independent.

From shelves of books and rails of vintage clothing to houseplants, specialty food shops and some seriously good coffee, there's always something to catch your eye.

And that's the joy of Leith Walk - you never quite know what you'll find next.

A few of our favourites featured in this Reel:
Topping & Company Booksellers | The Cookbook Shop | 5th Season Vintage | Carnivàle Vintage Clothing | Green. Leith | Valvona & Crolla | KUL Coffee | Spry & Ante | Brunswick Book Club

Just a short walk from 28 York Place, it's the perfect place to wander when you want to experience a more eclectic side of Edinburgh.

Save this Reel and add Leith Walk to your Edinburgh itinerary.

"Peaceful yet central, lovely place."

Thank you to Sophie for her kind words via Tripadvisor. We're always delighted to hear when guests have had a memorable stay. We're also exceptionally lucky to have such a central location that can feel tranquil from the bustle of the city centre!

Our why 🫶

We keep every note left behind by guests. Since we started collecting them, we've received so many that you'll now find two picture frames full of little notes, sketches and thank yous across our first and second floor.

If you left one of these notes - thank you for letting us be part of your Edinburgh story.

Experience Edinburgh. Experience 28 York Place.

Meet the People of 28 👋

At 28 York Place, it's the people who make the place.

From the first welcome at the door to the details happening behind the scenes, there are people working across the hotel every day to make sure everything comes together.

They don't always get to take centre stage, so over the coming weeks, we'll be introducing 4 of the faces and personalities that make our hotel what it is.

First up is Chloe! Having just recently celebrated her 9th year at 28 York Place, Chloe knows the building inside and out. She started in the bar, then housekeeping, to trainee manager, to duty manager and now operations manager - so there’s really not an area of the business Chloe hasn’t dealt with! Listen to find out more about her role as Operations Manager.

This is the People of 28.
