Many tourists visiting Edinburgh climb straight to the top of Arthur’s Seat but many locals prefer to follow the Radical Road around. It takes about 1.5 hours to walk (4km) and it’s one of the easiest ways to get stunning panoramic views of the city, the Firth of Forth, and surrounding hills without climbing right to the summit. 💙

𝗙𝘂𝗻 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝘁: The Radical Road around Arthur’s Seat gets its name from the Radical War of 1820, and it was built by unemployed weavers as a public works project suggested by Sir Walter Scott to give them jobs after the uprising. 🌋
