Louise's Saturday Share - back from our half term hang out in Rome. Such a treat to spend a week with my lads who were such great company. We tracked down the best Caravaggio's, coffee, carbonara, churches, gelato and fountains. We agreed that al dente pasta is the best pasta, saw The Pope deliver his Angelus prayer from high above St Peter's Square and Lazio win at the Stadio Olimpico. My boys are very good at directions (Mum, please put your phone away!) and beating me at Krillion. Rome is sensational. We missed the big storm and got home to lovely blue skies and autumn colours. 🍁

Louise's Saturday Share - Edinburgh wears autumn very well in all weathers and light. The balcony at Harvey Nichols has amazing views. I'm now in Italy with my boys, sitting outside with a cup of tea, my face being warmed by the sun. Off to a Lazio match at the Stadio Olimoico tonight. What a treat to spend time with my lads. They've been such great company. 🍂 🥰

Louise's Saturday Share - this week is all a big reveal of my Dad's brilliant and beautiful main door flat on Lonsdale Terrace, which goes on the market with RETTIE | EDINBURGH early next week.

It has a wonderful private south facing garden at the front, designed by Monica Wylie, awarded with many gold medals at Chelsea. My Dad created it as a tribute to my Mum and it has interest all year round. There's a shared pretty back garden off the kitchen too. 🌱

Inside is unique and special. It's huge for a ground floor flat in this location and has a corner aspect. There's an elegant sitting room with a bow window that catches the light. The dining kitchen is a real gem with doors onto the shared shared back garden. There's an excellent large utility room off the kitchen too.

One end of the flat used to be the Dr's waiting room and his surgery. The waiting room is a brilliantly flexible large space with a door onto Brougham Place. His surgery is now a lovely bedroom with a pretty basin. There's a wonderful study, which could also be a bedroom and Dad's lovely bedroom looks onto the shared back garden. There's a shower room and a bathroom with a shower over the bath. There's a brilliant hall cupboard and other good cupboards throughout.

The neighbourhood is superb. The Meadows are across the road and Bruntsfield on the doorstep. It's I n the catchment for good schools. Great shops and places to eat and drink abound nearby. The neighbours are lovely and friendly.

It's a much loved family home and is perfect for such a wide variety of folk - families, downsizers, dog lovers, work from homers, even very lucky students. 🥰
