🍻 New team at The Wheatsheaf, Edith Weston.

After more than 23 years, John has retired and handed over the keys to the village pub. We know many of our guests have loved his hospitality over the years and we'd like to say a big thank you to John, and wish him a long and happy retirement. 👏

Taking over is the team behind the Althorp Coaching Inn, with manager Jack and his bar team already earning rave reviews for their food and service since opening last week. ⭐

They're running a temporary menu for now, but the usual favourites like pie, burger and fish are still on the board.

While they are in their transition period, it will be worth give them a call to check opening times before you visit 01780 720083.

We’ve loved having so many guests slow down and unwind during their stay here with us at Puddle Cottage. Whether that’s a walk with the dog, pottering in the garden, or simply finding a quiet corner to switch off with a good book. 🌿✨

While we never expect gifts from our guests (your stay is truly enough 🙏) receiving this beautiful hand-painted portrait of the cottage was such a wonderful surprise. 🏡🎨

Thank you Cheryl, Dan & Buster - we love it so much and hope you’ll return to see it hanging up! 🐾
