Some evenings deserve a second look...

It's hard to believe that one month has passed since our Moray Chamber of Commerce Annual Dinner 2026, bringing together businesses from across the region for an evening of celebration, conversation and connection.

Bringing people and businesses together is at the heart of what we do, and evenings like this remind us just how much there is to celebrate.

To everyone who joined us, supported us, sponsored us and danced the night away with us we say thank you.

So as we take a moment to relive this year's Annual Dinner, we look forward to welcoming you all back to Gordon Castle on Friday 1st October 2027!

This week, Moray Chamber of Commerce’s IT Subgroup visited the STEM Centre at Elgin Library.

It was a fantastic opportunity to explore this local resource and hear more about how the centre is helping to inspire curiosity, creativity and digital skills across Moray. From technology and innovation to future talent development, spaces like this play an important role in supporting the pipeline of skills our region needs.

Our IT Subgroup brings together businesses and professionals with a shared interest in digital, technology, AI and innovation, so it was especially valuable to visit a space that is helping spark that interest from an early stage.

A big thank you to everyone involved in hosting us - it was a really insightful visit and a great reminder of the importance of collaboration between education, community spaces, and business.

Today, Moray Chamber of Commerce Director Shan Saba represented Moray’s business community at the Scottish Parliament, giving evidence to the Transport Committee on the importance of transport infrastructure to our region.

Our message was clear: transport infrastructure is not simply a transport issue, it is an economic issue.

Reliable connectivity underpins investment, productivity, recruitment, supply chains and business growth.

For Moray, the A96 remains the single most important transport project. Businesses, communities and investors have lived with uncertainty around the route for many years, and while there is recognition of the significant pressures on public finances, our members need confidence that strategic commitments will be delivered alongside a clear and credible timetable for progress.

Shan also highlighted the importance of maintaining our existing road network and continuing to invest in rail and wider connectivity across Moray and the north-east.

For businesses operating in a rural region, delays, closures and poor road conditions have very real consequences, and improving links between our communities, labour markets and investment centres will be critical to long-term economic prosperity.

We’re proud to make sure the views of Moray businesses are heard at a national level and will continue to advocate for the infrastructure our region needs to compete, attract investment and grow.

Thank you to Shan for representing the Chamber and our members at Holyrood.
