Hindringham Hall A Tudor house surrounded by a 12th century moat provides a magical backdrop for the beautiful gardens of Hindringham Hall. There are 2 holiday cottages. N.B.

Situated just 4 miles from the North Norfolk Coast this private garden opens 2 days a week during the summer months. The mediaeval fishponds and moat are designated ancient monument whereas the Tudor Hall is grade 2*. Together they provide a backdrop for this magical garden. The house was bought in 1993 and the garden has been developed by the owners over that time gradually spreading out from the

house. Initially there was no intention to "open" the gardens but after several successful N.G.S. open days, visitors were asking to see the garden at other times of the year. We hope you enjoy it. The rose growing on the wall leading to the Potting Shed is Phyllis Bide. Described by Peter Beales as one of their Rosarians favourite ramblers thanks to its beautiful colour, shade tolerance and hardy repeat-flowering nature. Look for it growing by the bridge where it complements beautifully the Honeysuckle growing there.

Looking across the little stream which, along with the natural springs, feeds the Moat, is this stone structure which is believed to be the remains of an old watermill. Growing on the stone are these pretty pink geraniums growing without any soil.
