Hi I’m Hayley the face behind Cornloft Cottage.

I have been coming on holiday to Norfolk for over 50 years, first with my parents, then with my children and now with my grandchildren 🥰
One thing has changed in that time - for 5 years now we can call Norfolk home ❤️

SEAL SAFETY: Common Seal pupping season is just around the corner and many in Norfolk will be flocking to North Norfolk beaches to see them.

Many of us will spend our summer months on the beach, with games to enjoy in the sun. Switching from a flying ring (hollow) to a solid disc (like a Frisbee) means there's one less danger in the water for young seal pups, who may get them caught around their necks.

Businesses who stop selling flying rings can sign up to our Seal of Approval campaign and be sent a window sticker and certificate for their shop. By proudly displaying this certificate, they show their commitment to seal safety and become advocates in their community.

Flying rings aren't the only hazard to seals - human intervention and dogs are a big cause of seal injuries.

Creake Abbey is under 3 miles from Cornloft Cottage.
Creake Abbey Farmers’ Market has been listed as No 10 in “UK’s 10 best farmers’ markets revealed - from Scotland to Cornwall”!
It is on the first Saturday of each month - next market 2/5/26 at 9.30am to 1pm!
Over 50 food and drink stalls.
