Great news for anyone that likes to get off park for a day out and leave the car behind 😀
A new bus service will run between Grange over Sands and Windermere from 20 July to 31 August, stopping at places including Lakeland Leisure Park at Flookburgh, Haverthwaite, Bowness and Windermere.
The service will run Monday to Saturday, three times a day in both directions, with links to attractions along the route including Holker Hall, Roudsea Woods and Mosses National Nature Reserve, Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway, Lakeland Motor Museum, Fell Foot, Blackwell Arts and Crafts House and Windermere Lake Cruises.
It follows work with local partners and businesses to highlight the need for better transport links for visitors, residents and staff.
A welcome boost for businesses along the route, and hopefully a service people will make good use of this summer.
