Always a pleasure hosting the Aurora Spirit Group from Norway, thank you for your glowing review and great photos! “Our second time to Dalvey and the experience is second to none. The personal attention you get from Julie and the team is exceptional.

Linen is crisp and fresh, bespoke toiletries, fluffy towels and ample provision of bathrooms, en-suite and shared, and separate WCs.

The drawing room is so homely, comfortable and spacious and with the various MacLeod family items these you are really a guest in someones home.

Later in the evening we retired to the sitting room with a pool table and enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere.

Many thanks Julie and team for allowing us to darken your door once again. We will be back”

Want to explore some of the incredible filming locations featured in The Odyssey?

Moray Council’s Film Liaison Service has created a map highlighting the key locations across North East Scotland; from Culbin Sands and Forest, to Roseisle, Findhorn, Burghead and beyond.

With Dalvey House as your base, you can spend your days following the trail, discovering the beaches, forests and coastlines that appeared on screen, before returning to relax and enjoy the comfort of your own Scottish retreat.

🎬 Walk in the footsteps of The Odyssey.

Some of the stunning landscapes featured in the new film are right on our doorstep. Scenes were filmed on the breathtaking Culbin Sands and Forest, as well as the beautiful woodland around Roseisle and the sweeping crescent beach stretching from Findhorn to Burghead. Together, this spectacular corner of Moray provides an unforgettable backdrop, both on screen and in real life.

Whether you’re a fan of the film, love dramatic coastal scenery, or simply want to discover one of Scotland’s most beautiful hidden corners, Dalvey House & Cottages is the perfect base for your adventure.

Spend your days exploring the very beaches and forests that captured the imagination of filmmakers, then return to relax in comfort, surrounded by the beauty that brought this epic story to life. 📸 credit Universal and BBC

A couple of our favourite spots to relax and spend time together at Dalvey House.

The dining room is where everyone comes together. From laid-back breakfasts to long, chatty dinners, it’s a space that’s all about good food and even better company 🍽️

The drawing room is perfect for slowing down; whether it’s a quiet coffee, a good book, or an easy catch-up with friends. Comfortable, calm, and made for unwinding.
