A fond farewell & an exciting new chapter at Tapnell Farm Park 🌾

This September, we'll be saying a fond farewell to some much-loved members of the Tapnell family as we take an exciting step towards the future of the Farm Park.

After ten wonderful years with us, our wallabies will be leaving Tapnell on 16 September for their next adventure at Longleat and The New Forest Wildlife Park

Our wallabies originally arrived here in 2016, when they needed a new home following the closure of Seaview Wildlife Encounter. Since then, they've become some of our most recognisable and much-loved residents - and have been part of countless feeds, family visits, photos and happy memories.

So, first and foremost, we want to say a huge thank you to them for ten brilliant years at Tapnell.

We'll be sad to see them go, but we're so happy that they're heading to fantastic new homes where they'll continue to be very well cared for.

Their daily wallaby feeds will continue up to and including Tuesday 15 September, and we'd love for you to join us in giving them a great send-off before they head off on their next adventure.

The move comes as we look towards an exciting new chapter for our Farm Park.

At the heart of Tapnell is a real working British farm, and as we look towards 2027 and beyond, we want to put that much more confidently at the heart of our Farm Park too - with a greater focus on British farming and farm animals, and more opportunities for families to discover where our food comes from, learn about nature and the countryside, and connect with life on a working farm 🚜🌾

As part of this evolution, our Bugs & Beasties residents will also be leaving for carefully considered new homes at the end of September.

They've played an important part in the Farm Park over the years too, introducing lots of curious young visitors to a wonderfully varied collection of creatures, and we'd like to say a big thank you to them as they prepare for their next adventures.

Their current area will then begin an exciting transformation into a new educational and interactive experience, connecting more closely with the wildlife, nature and ecology found on and around a working British farm 🌱

There are lots of exciting plans and developments taking shape behind the scenes, and we'll be sharing more over the coming months as the next chapter of Tapnell Farm Park comes to life 👀🌾

FINAL CALL FOR AQUA PARK! 💦

We’re officially into the last few Aqua Park sessions of 2026 – and spaces are disappearing fast!

There’s limited availability remaining at selected times from Thursday 3 – Sunday 6 September, before we pack away for the season and say goodbye until May 2027. 👋🌊

If the Aqua Park is still on your summer list, don’t leave it too late. Grab your friends, get your session booked and come climb, bounce, slide and splash your way around the course one final time!

Summer holidays are wrapping up, which means our opening hours are changing from tomorrow! 👋

Here’s our opening times at The Cow during term time:

Monday & Tuesday - Closed

Wednesday - Saturday:
🍔 Open 12–9pm, last table booking 7pm

Sunday:
🥩 Open 12–7pm, last table booking 5pm

And there’s plenty to look forward to this autumn – Bingo Nights are back every Thursday from 3 September, Sunday Roasts return from 6 September, and our 2 Burgers for £25 offer is back on Wednesdays from 9 September (details to come 👀).

Please note: This Friday, 4 September, we’ll be closed from 3–7pm while we cater for the Child of Wight Awards. Last lunch booking is 1.45pm and we’ll reopen for evening bookings from 7.15pm.

Whether it’s burgers, bingo, Sunday roasts or just an excuse to get together – we’ll see you at The Cow 🍔

Visiting the Farm Park from tomorrow (1 September)? A little heads-up! 👋

With the summer holidays coming to an end, we’re switching back to our usual weekday entrance via the Guest Hub from tomorrow.

📍 Monday–Friday
Please head to the Guest Hub, opposite The Cow Restaurant, to enter the Farm Park. You’ll also find a small selection of gifts available there, with the main Gift Shop open from 3pm.

📍 Weekends
You can enter via either the usual Farm Park entrance or the Guest Hub, with both the Guest Hub and main Gift Shop open.

And while the summer holidays might be over, the Farm Park is still open every day, 10am–5pm! 🙌

Turns out luxury is just waking up on a farm 🌾

Countryside outside the window. Cows for neighbours. Muddy boots by the door. A hot tub waiting at the end of the day. And skies big enough to make you forget what you were scrolling for in the first place.

Clear your Sunday plans… our roasts are back next week! 👀🥔

Sunday roasts return to The Cow on 6 September, and for our first one back there’ll be a choice of Pork, Lamb or Beef, all reared here at Tapnell, alongside our Mushroom & Brie Wellington for the veggies.

Then each Sunday, we’ll be serving Tapnell-reared Beef plus another Tapnell-reared meat, changing from week to week.

Whichever you choose, expect all the good stuff alongside it – crispy roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, honey-roasted parsnips, braised red cabbage, Tenderstem broccoli, creamy cauliflower cheese and plenty of rich gravy 😋

And if a roast isn’t calling your name, our burgers, steaks and other favourites are still available on Sundays too.

Roasts are available until sold out, so we recommend booking early to avoid disappointment.

Need a Bank Holiday weekend plan, whatever the forecast decides? 🌦️🙌

At Tapnell Farm Park, there’s plenty to keep everyone busy – inside and out.

If the rain rolls in, head indoors to meet the animals in the Animal Barn, explore the Soft Play Barn or burn off some energy in the Adventure Barn – with trampolines, the Tower Slide, inflatable obstacle courses, Shoot the Hoop and pedal go-karts taking you from inside to out. Little ones have their own space to explore in Tiny Tapnell too.

And if the clouds clear, there’s even more to explore outside – from Sledge Slides and Zip Wires to Mini Golf, our Discovery Trail, paddock walk, meeting the animals in the paddocks and plenty of fresh-air farm fun.

Basically, whatever the Great British Bank Holiday weather throws at us, there’s a whole day of fun to be had. 😅

One last splash before we say goodbye for the season? 💦

Summer has absolutely flown by, and we’re heading into the final Aqua Park sessions of 2026!

There are still a few chances to get on the water:

🌊 Daily until Monday, 31 August – hourly sessions from 10am–5pm
🌊 Thursday 3 September – 4pm & 5pm
🌊 Saturday 5 & Sunday 6 September – 11am, 12pm, 2pm & 3pm

And then that’s it – the Aqua Park closes for the season until May 2027.

So if you’ve been meaning to take it on this summer, fancy one more go, or simply aren’t ready to say goodbye just yet… this is your last chance!
