October half term is in full swing at Tapnell Farm Park! 🍂

We've been getting into the Halloween spirit here on the farm, with creepy-crawly discoveries, autumn crafts, animals to meet and plenty of indoor and outdoor adventures!

There's still lots of time to join in the fun, with something for the whole family to enjoy. 👇

🕷️ Creepy crawlies on the farm! Follow our Halloween-themed fact trail, pick up an activity sheet and discover some fascinating (and slightly gross!) facts about the bugs you might find around a farm. Don't forget to guess how many spiders are hiding in our jar for a chance to win a £50 voucher!

🎨 Halloween crafts! Get creative with seasonal colouring or paint your very own china pumpkin or monster to take home.*

🐷 Meet the animals! Say hello to our farm animals and join in with daily activities, including Guinea Pig Fishing, Alpaca Feed, Pig Feeding and Meet the Guinea Pigs.

Good food on the agenda this half term? 🍂

If you're out and about on the Isle of Wight this October half term, come and join us at The Cow for lunch or dinner!

There's plenty to tuck into on our winter menu, from comforting favourites like our slow-cooked Beef Stew with suet dumplings and creamy Mac & Cheese, to loaded burgers, BBQ ribs and our new Dirty Dog.

And don't forget October's burger special! Our Mediterranean Smash Burger brings together two smash patties, fresh beef tomato, mozzarella, basil and sunflower seed pesto, all served in a brioche bun with rosemary-salted fries. 🍔

It's only around until 31 October, so there's still time to give it a try!

🍽️ Joining us on a Sunday? Our Sunday roasts are on too, featuring locally reared meats, seasonal vegetables and all the trimmings. They're proving popular, so we'd recommend booking before 2pm if you're coming especially for a roast. Once they're gone, they're gone!

🎄 Festive Fun at Tapnell Farm Park! 🎄

We're doing Christmas a little differently this year!

Rather than our usual ticketed Christmas event, from 1–24 December we're filling the Farm Park with Christmas cheer, twinkling trees, seasonal decorations and plenty of festive touches for the whole family to enjoy – all part of your usual Farm Park admission! ✨

Here's what's happening...

🐷 Meet our Christmas Animal Barn characters!
Our Animal Barn is transforming into a charming Christmas stable, with our resident animals taking on some rather important Christmas roles! Meet our Christmas pudding pigs, little Christmas donkeys, mischievous furry elves and more, each with their own Christmas story to read as you explore.

🎄 Follow our Festive Farm Trail
Pick up an activity sheet and follow the trail, meeting our Christmas animal characters, reading their stories and completing your sheet along the way.

✉️ Letters to Santa & Christmas Crafts
Little ones can write their Christmas letter to Santa and post them in our special Christmas post box, plus enjoy Christmas colouring in our Farm Crafts area.

📸 Christmas trees & family photos
Look out for our big Christmas tree in the Animal Barn and stop by our Christmas sleigh photo spot for a family snap!

🐾 All your favourite Farm Park activities, too!
There's still plenty of indoor and outdoor play, animals to meet and adventures to enjoy, whatever the December weather brings.

🎟️ No separate Christmas ticket needed! Our Christmas Animal Barn and festive displays are included with normal Farm Park admission or a valid Winter Season Pass. Some optional craft activities may carry a small additional charge.

Good food, good company and autumn days at The Cow 😋🍂

From hearty favourites on our new winter menu to a proper Sunday roast with all the trimmings, there's plenty to look forward to around the table this season.

We're proud to use Tapnell-reared and other Island-reared meats, alongside fresh, seasonal local ingredients wherever possible. Some of the root vegetables even come from Barry's allotment here at Tapnell Manor, when the harvest allows!

Whether it's a relaxed lunch, dinner with friends or gathering the family for Sunday lunch, there's always a good excuse to pull up a chair.

And if you've got your heart set on one of our Sunday roasts, we'd recommend booking an earlier table. Numbers are limited, and once the roasts are gone, they're gone!

Your next day off could look a little like this… 🍂

A morning of movement, an afternoon beside the lake, good food and a little time to switch off. All surrounded by the beautiful West Wight countryside.

Autumn is a wonderful time to find a little space for yourself at Tapnell Farm.

Start with a game of Padel or Pickleball with friends, or ease into your Friday with a yoga class with Vicki.

Then head down to the lake, where Slomo is all about slowing the pace. Wood-fired saunas, steaming Dutch hot tubs, a refreshing lake dip or the invigorating chill of the cold plunge. Take your time, enjoy the contrast and simply be in the moment.

Stay a little longer for lunch, dinner or a drink at The Cow. Or head out for a walk along the beautiful West Wight coastline, with no particular rush to get anywhere.

And if you're not quite ready to go home, why not make a night or two of it? Our farm stays offer more time to disconnect from the everyday and reconnect with nature. Think peaceful mornings surrounded by countryside, fresh air, spectacular West Wight sunsets and quiet evenings with nowhere else you need to be. Time to put your phone away, enjoy the little moments and simply switch off.

A few hours to yourself, a day with friends or a whole weekend away. However you choose to spend it, sometimes it's the simple things that feel the best.
