Here at Longley’s Retreat we have been keeping a secret, we are getting another Couple’s Lodge!! These past couple of weeks we have spent prepping the base ready for concrete. We have to wait for the concrete to set now… here’s a short video to show what we’ve been up to! Part 2 coming soon! 🏠

Stunning Red Kites over us again today, there were 3 altogether, only managed to get this one on film though! Countryside at its finest. Such a beautiful site to see, nature in its natural habitat! There’s lots of other nature to see here at Longley’s Retreat!

Good Evening,
Just a polite reminder to all guests, could you please make sure that your cars are parked in the allocated spaces to your lodges rather than on the grass or on the other concrete pitches?
The allocated parking spaces are put in place to ensure safety of all our staff and guests as well as helping keep the grass and other areas clear and looking tidy.

Had a lovely wonder around the lake this morning but we got stopped in our tracks by this mahoosive caterpillar! I honestly could not get over the size of it! I must have been watching it for atleast 5 minutes just fascinated by it. 🤣 🐛 🦋 Lots more wildlife and nature to be seen at Longley’s Retreat, including grass snakes, moorhens, geese, butterflies, caterpillars, various birds, lots of fish, and much more!!
