Look who we bumped into at the Borders Book Festival in Melrose last weekend! (we rocked up in Moffat to find no book festival but we still got there in time!) 🥃✨

We had the pleasure of meeting the brilliant Sam Heughan, promoting his latest book, The Cocktail Diaries. He is a fantastic local ambassador who even took the time to leave a wonderful signed message for the whole team back at the Ship Inn!

This weekend, Sam is back down on home turf leading over 100 motorcyclists on the inaugural Ride Galloway event, starting off from his very own Galloway Distillery in Newton Stewart, taking riders over 130 miles of the most spectacular rolling hills, dramatic coastlines, and deep forests southwest Scotland has to offer.

This award means so much because our beer garden is where our community comes together. From the Midsummer Music Festival gigs to the Gala Duck Race, it’s been brought to life by all of you.
