Looking for a cool and shady walk during the heatwave? Within less than 15 minutes drive from Mere Holiday Cottages, head to Alfred’s Tower to walk in the woods on the Stourhead Estate. There’s so many gravel tracks to explore with scenic views through the trees and with at the end (or beginning) to supply refreshments, including a doggy ice cream, what more could you need during the heat wave?
