🦌 One of Those Evenings You Can't Quite Believe... 🦌

Yesterday evening, as we were heading up the drive, we spotted a deer and her beautiful fawn quietly making their way through the grass.

The rabbits were out enjoying the evening sunshine and, just as the day was ending, a tawny owl appeared on the gate looking across the field.

Moments like that remind us why we love living here.

🌿 A Few Days of Peace & Quiet... 🌿

Today's guests are arriving to one of our favourite treats – our delicious breakfast hamper, packed with local produce and our homemade award-winning bread 🍞

As I was preparing everything this morning, I couldn't help thinking what a lovely time of year it is to stay here.

The countryside is looking beautiful, the days are long and life seems to move at a gentler pace.

It's small things sometimes, but refreshing the 🌸 pots by the front door for summer always makes me really happy 😊. The weather today is just stunning and glaisdale is buzzing from the mini arts festival. We will be popping along this evening for a boogie 😇🥰

🧺 Changeover Day at Laneside 🧺

A busy same-day changeover today in both Athelas and Meadowsweet, but there’s something very satisfying about fresh linens, shiny floors and everything ready to welcome new guests 😊

One small thing those that know me will know… I do enjoy a cheeky biscuit 🍪😂

Today’s Athelas guests have some Golden Caramel “Gold Bar” digestives waiting for them alongside crisp bedding and a cosy cottage ready for their stay.

It’s always lovely preparing everything for arrivals, especially on bright sunny days like this ☀️
