Wedderlie was a home long before it welcomed weddings 🤍

The late-16th-century tower, the old stonework, the window seats and the slightly wonky character of the house are part of what makes it feel lived in.

It opened for weddings in 2021, without trying to become a conventional venue.

When you have 50 private acres, no one needs to stay in the same room all day.

Walk the woodland, play tennis or volleyball, have a round of frisbee golf, or head out for clay pigeon shooting if you've added it to the weekend.

Then everyone finds their way back to the courtyard when the drinks are poured.

From there, it is a short walk to the Lodge Barn for dinner, speeches and dancing.

For smaller weddings, the Ceremony Barn can take on the evening instead ✨

The Main House | Eleven bedrooms at the centre of everything.

The Hayloft | Two double bedrooms, directly above the bar. Make of that what you will.

The Cottage | Four bedrooms, sleeping eight. Quieter, just around the corner.

Then the cabins | Gamekeeper's, Little Green, Walnut, Chestnut.

Around 54 guests. All on the estate. All weekend.

The Hayloft, above the Un-Stable Bar, gives the groom his own place to get ready too - close to the action, with room to relax before the day begins.

Whilst the estate provides a beautiful foundation, you're more than welcome to bring your own suppliers.

You are not, thankfully, starting with an empty field.

Chiavari chairs, trestle tables, lighting, sound, heating and an Events Manager are already in place.

Add a third night and let Sunday stretch a little further.

Gather around the fire braziers, host a proper evening at the BBQ Barn, or add clay pigeon shooting and see who has the best aim.
You do not need to add everything.
