Reading through our guest book and seeing so many happy guests AND their dogs 🐾 giving us their seal of approval is always a joy. Pack the leads and treat your four-legged family to a well-earned break!

Lovely walks nearby, and there are beautiful beaches and lakes just a short drive from us. Not forgetting the excellent dog-friendly pubs and cafés too!

It looks like Harris nearly took off with those ears when he visited Seascale! 😂🌊🐾 We love to see your photos from your time here if you have any you'd like to share 💚

The weather may be a bit typical Bank Holiday at the moment, but as ever in this glorious part of the world, be prepared for all four seasons and we're hoping for the sun to win through! Meanwhile, there is loads going on in West Cumbria and we're signposting just a few….

In Whitehaven there is a fabulous all weekend festival- stalls, live music and more. Plenty of great places to shelter and grab something fab to eat on the harbourside.

Nearby Windhall at Muncaster there is the end of the Fringe Festival and Krankenhaus. You can find more information on all these events via the links.

And, come rain or shine, we have so many wonderful places to walk, eat, drink and enjoy - nearby Seascale has a long beach to enjoy (and the best Ice Cream Parlour in the West!) and the Fells are a short drive away. There is something for everyone!

Best thing is you can relax and feel at home, enjoy the hot tub and cosy up on the sofa or relax on the porch! Have a great weekend all 💚

August is completely full but there is still a chance for a relaxing September escape - just two midweek dates remaining:

It’s been a wonderfully busy summer here, and we’re so grateful for all the lovely feedback from our recent guests!

We’re now fully booked until mid-September, with just two small gaps remaining before October. Time is flying!

For our August guests, there’s plenty going on nearby:
Wasdale Explorer: Running weekends and bank holidays (route map below).
Whitehaven: The replica tall ship Nao Santa María is visiting for 10 days, plus local markets and live music.
What a fantastic time to visit the Lakes!

From one working farm to another.... it's wonderful to see this snapshot of life around The Wasdale Sawmill cafe. It also shows off the stunning scenery in the area - we are so lucky to have this close by Windhall Lodges. And the food, the café and shop are fabulous!

Wow, what a beautiful stretch of weather we’ve had lately! It has us excited for the summer ahead. ☀️😎
We’re moving into our peak busy season, which means the calendar is fairly packed and summer gaps in next couple of months are rare. June is nearly full, but there's a window 🪟😁
We have a three-night stay available next month:
