Rogan & Co, the 1* Michelin restaurant in the heart of Cartmel. Excellent food, excellent service and very attentive staff, what's not to like. (Just try and not break the cups 😜)

World Fungi Day may have just been and gone, but the fungi are still putting on quite a show. They seem to be popping up everywhere at the moment. It must be all this damp weather we've been having.

A steep climb straight from the car park up to Lingmoor Fell. It might not be the highest fell at 469M but it does pack some awesome views all around. Onto Side Pike then around Blea Tarn to finish off.

A terrific walk around Tarn Hows, past Tom Gyhll Waterfalls (more like Tom Gyhll Trickle on the day), taking in Holme Fell and Yewdale Crag Moss, through Tarn Hows Wood, onto Coniston with refreshments at The Crown Inn and back to Tarn Hows.

A pleasant, short, flat walk along the River Leven and into Roudsea Wood. Finished off with a treat (why not) from The Handmade Ice Cream Company in Greenodd.
