Astonishing display from the roses outside the cottages, the smell is incredible!
The pale pink is favoured by flower beetles, and the bees who are busy making honey for us to sell to our guests

We love it when our guests want an art class. I have thoroughly enjoyed painting with Tom and Ria who created the most beautiful watercolours before brunch.
We painted on the footpath by pencil pot , with a shot of espresso and surrounded by bird song.
They now have the supplies to continue their artistic journey this week .
I for one am very excited to see more!

The little baby moorhen chicks..
They are little balls of fluff and only recently hatched.
I was hanging washing out in this glorious sunshine and there they were strutting around like little velociraptors !
Now I just hope that mum keeps them close and safe.
She certainly had her eyes peeled today

What a wonderful hour behind hare and barn owl

Lesser spotted woodpecker, bullfinch, redpoll, Siskin , garden warbler and some great farmland birds
Yesterday we had a red necked grebe, which I’ve recorded a few times now, greylag geese and a nuthatch

Twin girls!
A very rare occurrence

What a day on the farm Easter Sunday has been!
We have twins ❤️❤️

Born for the first time in over a decade, the mum is amazing, it’s going to be a chilly with these clear skies so Jonathan will give them more straw.
Very soon they will be in the field.
Ready for a few years grazing Amongst the grasses and wildflowers
