Just around 20 minutes’ drive from Harlech, Barmouth Bridge is a lovely addition to your autumn getaway, with sweeping views across the Mawddach Estuary. 🍂

Opened in 1867, this remarkable Grade II listed bridge* was built for the Aberystwyth and Welsh Coast Railway. It’s Britain’s longest wooden railway bridge and remains an important part of the Cambrian Coast line.

Take a stroll across, pause to enjoy the mountain and estuary views, then head into Barmouth for a browse and a bite to eat. ☕🥾
