Most of all, thank you to everyone who came along, donated, and helped make it such a special evening. It was a privilege to be part of Refugee Week and support two incredible local organisations. 🧡

As part of Refugee Week 🧡 ’s town wide Recipes of Courage Festival, we’re proud to be hosting Songs of Courage, Words of Resilience.

This special evening brings together music, poetry and storytelling celebrating resilience, community and shared humanity, all in support of The Refugee Buddy Project 🧡 and Safe Haven.

Mike Willis & gang return for the third Southern Session.

Southern are a live ensemble rooted in American folk, country, soul and storytelling traditions, Southern brings together some of Hastings’ finest players for an evening of original songs, deep cuts, improvisation and unexpected collaborations.

Today is the start of Refugee Week 🧡 and to celebrate The Refugee Buddy Project 🧡 and Safe Haven are hosting the town wide, multi venue Recipes of Courage Food festival.
Don’t be misled by the title as it’s not just food but storytelling, poetry, music, film art and exhibitions.
And we are excited to be a part of it!
Firstly, we’ll be serving a Refugee Week celebratory special cask ale: Sanctuary IPA, brewed by one of our absolute favourite breweries (and local!) . For every pint sold £1 will go to Refugee Buddy Project and Safe Haven

And then, on Wednesday night from 7.30.pm we’ll be hosting ‘Songs of Courage, Words of Resilience’,
a night of songs, poems and stories hosted by Kat Lee-Ryan , and featuring these wonderful folk:
