🎨Now Showing: Rosie Mack ✨

We're delighted to be featuring the work of local artist Rosie Mack in our reception area.

A Cornish landscape artist and member of the Bath Society of Artists, Rosie's atmospheric paintings explore the colours, light and character of the Cornish landscape. Working primarily in oils, she creates richly textured pieces that capture not only a sense of place but also the memories and emotions connected to it.

Drawing inspiration from Cornwall's ever-changing skies, coastlines and countryside, Rosie also incorporates driftwood and natural artefacts into her creative process, reimagining overlooked materials and giving them new life and meaning. Her work blends landscape, memory and storytelling, inviting viewers to discover their own connections within each piece.

We're proud to support local artists and are thrilled to share Rosie's beautiful work with everyone who visits us.

We're delighted to be displaying a collection of works by Derek "Gis" Harris in our reception area.

Working primarily in charcoal, Gis creates atmospheric pieces that sit somewhere between representation and abstraction. His work is inspired by those moments when the ordinary begins to shift, familiar scenes, fragments of landscape, birds, shadows and memories that feel both recognisable and slightly strange. His pieces invite viewers to pause, look closer, and find their own story within the image.

We're proud to share his work with our visitors and team, and encourage you to take a moment to explore the collection when you're next with us.

⚓ Safety at Sea: RNLI Float to Live 🏄

Heading to the beach this summer? A simple piece of advice from the RNLI could make all the difference if you find yourself in difficulty whilst enjoying the waters of the Cornish coast.

Our fantastic lifeguards do an amazing job of helping to keep our beaches safe, but it's important that we all know what to do in an emergency too. That's why the RNLI's Float to Live message is so important.

A Guide to Floating:
• Lean back
• Keep your ears submerged
• Relax and control your breathing
• Gently move your hands and feet to help you stay afloat
Once your breathing is under control, call for help or swim to safety if you're able.

We hope all our guests enjoy a fun, relaxing, and safe summer by the sea, but taking a moment to learn this lifesaving advice could help you or someone else in an emergency.

Get ready for one of Hayle's biggest community celebrations. Join us at Hayle Recreation Centre, right in the heart of town, on Saturday 13th June for a fantastic day of fun, music, food, and carnival excitement.

🎶 Amazing Family DJ Party in the Park before and after the carnival procession at 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm
🕺 Fancy showing off your moves? There will be prizes given out for Best Dancing and Best Fancy Dress. Themes are 80s, 90s and 00s! Dig out your neon, double denim, shell suits, pop star outfits, and iconic throwback looks.
