We've had some brilliant entries so far, and we've decided to extend the deadline from 1st July to 1st September to give more young artists the chance to get involved.

The winning artwork will be professionally reproduced and displayed in every guest room throughout The Civic Hall (formerly The Crown Inn), alongside:

✨ £250 art supplies voucher for the overall winner
✨ £50 vouchers for age category winners
✨ Selected entries displayed throughout the hotel as part of our Young Artists of the Valley gallery

What if these walls could talk?

Long before The Civic Hall begins its next chapter as a luxury boutique aparthotel, this building had a story of its own. Parts of the building date back to the 1800s and have welcomed people for many different reasons over the years.

Now, internal refurbishment works are in full swing and a new chapter is slowly taking shape.

There is a beautiful, steady rhythm to life in Hebden Bridge.

At The Civic Hall, we are trying to take that same thoughtful approach to the restoration by focusing on quality and craftsmanship over speed. The aim is to create a boutique aparthotel designed for living, not just visiting, with comfort and character built into every detail.

Internal works are now underway, and it’s exciting to see the vision for the building slowly starting to come together.
