🐝 A little taste of the countryside, straight from the hive!
This week, we celebrated National Honey Day, shining a spotlight on the incredible work of our British beekeepers, the importance of supporting local honey producers and, of course, the hardworking little bees that make it all possible!
Did you know that the flavour of local honey changes with the seasons, reflecting the flowers and plants our bees visit? Every jar tells a little story of the countryside around us. 🌼
Here at Retreat East, we're lucky enough to have our very own beehives, cared for in collaboration with the wonderful team at Hemingstone Bees.
And to celebrate, we're thrilled to launch our 2027 Beekeeping Experiences & Seasonal Lunch!
Pull on a beekeeping suit, discover the fascinating world inside a working hive and learn how these remarkable little pollinators help our countryside thrive.
Then, swap your beekeeping suit for a seat at the table and enjoy a delicious two-course seasonal lunch, with a jar of our own Retreat East honey to take home.
