Come and join our crafting group for a couple of hours Our Sticks & Twine gathering will be taking place on Tuesday 8th September (the second Tuesday of the month) and is a great place to escape to unwind and indulge in some fun chat with likeminded crafters.

It is our Simple Supper menu on a Tuesday evening which some of the group take advantage of but if you just want to have a drink and a chat then that’s perfectly okay too.

I called into The Old Black Lion for lunch last Saturday and had a lovely sunny lunch out in the garden and it’s definitely one to add to your list when you’re next in Hay-on-Wye.

Tucked away at the bottom of Bear Street, The Old Black Lion is well worth seeking out when you’re in town.

The kitchen makes the most of seasonal ingredients, locally sourced wherever possible, with different menus to suit everything from a relaxed lunch to an evening meal.
