We attended a sustainability conference this week ran by Lisburn & Castlereagh tourism department at Larchfield Estate and it was inspiring to hear about new ideas and practical ways businesses can implement more sustainable systems and processes. Larchfield are indeed a trailblazer and it was interesting to hear how they implement new processes.
One thing that really stood out was that sometimes the most meaningful changes are the little things we already do every day. We just don’t always champion them or tell people about them.
Sustainability isn’t always about big investments or major changes. It’s often the small, consistent actions—reducing waste, encouraging guests to drink tap water, cutting down on single-use plastics, supporting local suppliers, or finding ways to reuse and recycle—that collectively make a real difference.
We’re proud of the steps we’re taking and are committed to doing even more. Sometimes it’s worth stopping to recognise those efforts, share them, and hopefully inspire others to do the same.
Every small change counts. Together, we can make a difference. 🌿💧
